How to Make Your Home a Real Christmas Wonderland with Stunning Decorations
Decorating for the holiday season is in my DNA. That’s how much I love it. It is one of the many joys that I get to indulge during the Christmas season.
Every year I plan a theme centered around the holiday season that says welcome to my home. I want guests to feel comfortable and cozy the second they walk through my front door.
Here’s how I create and design my annual Christmas wonderland.
First, I setup my flocked Christmas tree in the left corner of my living room. After I spread out the branches to give the tree a full appearance, I add red and gold ornaments with a few purple baubles mixed in. The tree already has white lights which is nice because it saves me lots of time from having to string lights around the tree. The tree skirt gets wrapped around the base for beauty purposes.
Now that I have finished decorating my tree I’ll add in a bit of whimsy for wonder by decorating my coffee and sofa tables.
Secondly, I take my sparkly red reindeer table runner and position it perfectly right in the center of my mahogany and glass table. This adds a touch of elegance to my decor. I’m ready to put the gold tray on top of my runner.
Design and Decorate Your Home with a One of a Kind Christmas Theme
Decorating your home for the holiday season should be an adventurous wonder that you look forward year after year. Let’s decorate together.
And now let me introduce to you the beautiful gold tray. My gold tray serves as a centerpiece for my home decor every year for the past five years at Christmas. It’s time now to put my gold tray on top of my runner.
Everything is coming together just as I envision it would.
Now that that’s done I’ll take my red and gold ornaments and place them all inside my tray. First red and then gold. I’ll keep layering them inside the tray until it is filled with some plain red and gold ornaments and some with glitter on them. We have a little ways to go, but so far everything is looking stunning.
The next thing I’m going to do is bring in my gold sparkling reindeer. I must say he is clothed with Christmas wonder. His antlers make him stand tall with his head held high. My oh my he’s amazing.
Santa Claus and Rudolph Love It Here and All of the Christmas Decor
Santa Claus and his reindeer are surrounded by beautiful pieces of glass ornaments and other decor and they love it here!
Okay, let’s get to the next ornament of beauty which is the gold glass candle tree. When I was at Home Goods years ago I found a gold Christmas tree candle that I didn’t even was a candle until I picked it up. It seems to sparkle every time I look at it. I marvel at its wonder. This lovely piece of Christmas decor will go right in the center of my tray with my reindeer standing to its left. This, along with Santa and reindeer are the eye-catching pieces that make my living room stand out during the holiday season.
As Santa awaits his entrance and introduction I will place him next to the gold tray. He stands closer to the end of the table. He is full, bright and a little chunky with his full white beard and vibrant red velvet coat. Santa was once the focal point of this display and I guess he still is even though he sits outside of the gold tray.
And now for the final touch I am going to add my three burgundy glass hurricanes to my lovely display. They contain little light boxes that make these burgundy hurricanes transform the room when night falls.
And there it is. Splendor and majestic waves of light are ready to welcome the Christmas season with open warm arms.
Decorating your home for the holiday season is always fun and exciting! I hope you enjoy celebrating your home with amazing Christmas decor.
Merry Christmas
